I like to think this song is about when people let a relationship get worse until it just becomes nothing at all. if I were to put meaning to this song, that's what it would be about.

With little insight I had at my young age, I tended to lyrics tended to be ripped off other songs or influenced by observation; rather than personal experience. I was just really trying to find cool words that rhymed together.

This winter, Seth and I went in and to re-record vocals for all of these songs. For a while, I seriously thought about writing new "mature" lyrics for most of our recordings. But in the end, I felt like I had to stay true to the original lyrics.

The title of this song SMB, stands for Scratch My Balls. This nickname was crafted by members of the Enthusiastics.

SMB was the first original we ever wrote as a band. That's not exactly true, but it is the first one we were ever really proud of (although we don't play it live anymore).
